Alaska leadership announced that their corporate merger synergies finished "ahead of plan." But while they're integrating systems achieving greater cost savings even earlier than planned, they have not yet been willing to deliver a fair contract to their pilots.  

Alaska’s core values tell us to "Do the Right Thing" and "Be Caring and Kind." That requires the company to prioritize their employees in the merger and provide the pilots a contract they deserve. Management needs to live up to their own values and deliver a fair contract to their pilots now.

A Critical Step Remains

The company has completed nearly every major corporate and regulatory milestone needed to merge Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. Yet despite that progress, negotiations for a Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement remain unfinished. Management has moved quickly to integrate the business and capture merger benefits. It's time to bring that same urgency to reaching a fair contract for Alaska-Hawaiian pilots.
