The Alaska and Hawaiian MECs met in joint session in Seattle for two days (Nov. 19-20) this week. The meetings centered on the current Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) negotiations.

Today marks the last full day our two brands will operate under separate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) operating certificates, with the transition to a single operating certificate (SOC) slated to take place early tomorrow morning. While the legacies of our carriers are now joined, that does not mean they are lost.
